2021.04.19 - Boat-Shaped Garden Seat III
Shortly after an early breakfast I went down to the workshop to see how the second arch corner had come out.
As you can see, there is considerably less seepage than with the first arch, so I have this about right. Not so thin as to starve the joint, but not so thick as to give huge amounts of seepage.
There are areas that look like they did not have enough glue at first glance, but when you look at the joint closely you can just see a very thin line of yellow glue.
To give you an idea of scale, there are the two arches clamped at the apex and leaning against the workshop door. The width is 4' and the height is 6' 5". The ends need to be trimmed to the correct length but that'll be done after the arches have been planed. The top joint is an angled cut on both pieces such that when joined together the cut is vertical. As you will see later in the build.
The third arch will be laminated this afternoon.
Now, it's time to get to work.
